    It was my intention to show this piece done as an informal tutorial, but time has worked against me. Soon, however. I'll try to set up a specific image that will be able to demonstrate the medium in various forms of application, such as dry-brushing (ex: on this piece, much of the helmet and face were dry brushed), gradation (shadow and light), and texture. Another thing I'd like to go into would be background patterns, and how layering the wash helps to create them.

    This is the finished version of this piece. I debated long and hard about the background, in that I was trying to decide what type of pattern would lend itself to the image. In the end I decided to leave it white.

    Now, on to other things. I'm currently drawing an image with the working title of When Pigs could Fly: [link] that is 18x28, but I am going to put it away for a few weeks. At this stage, a good bit of the pencils are done on the major character, but there is much, much more to the story. As always, thanks for looking!
