Description
Original Sketch: 5.5x7.5
Medium: Ink
Copyright Notice: 2012 by Bob Giadrosich/Red Dragonfly Illustration. All Rights Reserved.
As I finish up the last 16 sketches for my book (to be released in 2013), I am trying to put a little more effort into each one, as I want to have a strong ending for the year. As I like to bounce around within the page count for the month, this is actually going to be Sketch #180.
The graphite version of "From Tractors to Rockets" can be seen here: [link]
The book will feature sketches with a couple of different styles. Most of the drawings will be very detailed (with complete backgrounds), some much more simple (just characters), while others will be along the lines of traditional Chinese ink paintings (rendered with brush, without the washes). This last category is penciled with minimal lines, letting the ink interpret detail though brush strokes.
You can see how the project has progressed by visiting the folder "Sketchbook Project" in my gallery: [link]
As always, thanks for looking!
