I love old tales, and enjoy listening to a seasoned orator deliver stories and ballads in front of a crackling hearth; the cadence of word and off-set rhyme bridging the gap with those who have made history before us. This one is for the storyteller. Daily DeviationGiven 2006-09-06And all this time I thought that 'I' was a fanatic when it came to meticulous linework. giadrosich is in a league ALL his own. His gallery blew my mind! Einion's comment to me when suggesting giadrosich was that his work reminded her 'of some of Bernie Wrightson's work maybe with a hint of Barry Windsor-Smith thrown in.' I absolutley agree. The first thing that came to mind when viewing his art was Wrightson's 'Frankenstein' work. The second thing that came to mind was 'stunning'! We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I 'm steadily working on the color version (that, and around 5 other things, lol!!). What's not apparent in this scan, since I didn't include the boarder of Storyteller, is that the urn at the bottom right hand side cuts out of the frame, becoming more of a graphic element in the composition. It's an old trick to break up the lines of the frame a little and brings the viewer into the picture.
