This is illustration two in a series of three. The publisher wanted a scene depicting some type of workshop. Given the parameters, I wanted to make it a little more "upscale," giving the feel of a room or setting that had been around for generations. A place, perhaps, that had been her mother's, or her mother's mother before her.
That's just beautifu, Bob... words can't even describe this piece. Amazing, brilliant, and inspiring. Where do I FIND this room (and the girl would be nice, too... I'll take the dog, but I already have one).

You really are so absurdly talented... The only thing that wasn't perfect for me was the whiteness of the blossoms in the vase... it does draw you into the picture but I felt like the focal point ought to be the girl standing out against the whiteness of the sky, so maybe you could put some shading on the stalks in the vase or something. Just my totally worthless opinion. Still totally superb, though, and I love how you give this a cosy, warm, homely feeling without using colour, I find blakc and white pieces often feel quite cold. Fantastic work.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Please FULL VIEW all these amazing pieces of ART. Visit the artists pages and give them a :+fav and your support. Thank you for taking the time........
