    One of three illustrations produced for the book Dark Arts by Bob Hobbs, released by David and Charles Publishing (U.K.).

    The publisher wanted a scene depicting some type of workshop. Given the parameters, I wanted to make it a little more "upscale," giving the feel of a room or setting that had been around for generations. A place, perhaps, that had been her mother's, or her mother's mother before her.

    Magi's Castle is the first one in the series.

I'm always impressed by your use of shadow and light, and your line work, but you have really outdone yourself with this peice. Excellent work.
