I've been illustrating since the late '80's, and have been published in books, games, and magazines, as well as on billboards, CD's, murals and textiles. In 2006, I published a retrospect of over 18 years of art called "Ink: Images and Essays from Bob Giadrosich."

Past clients include Arthus House, Black Dragon Press, Bridge Publications, David and Charles Publishing, Flying Buffalo, Green Knight Publishing, Iron Crown Enterprises, Imagine Roleplaying, Mayfair Games, Paisano Publications, Paradigm Concepts, Perseid Publishing, R. Talsorian, Sharayah Press, Target Games, TSR, White Wolf Publications, and Wizards of the Coast.

Between 2010-2013, I lived in Changsha, China, studying traditional Chinese ink painting, book and product design.

Free Sketches!

That’s right! As a special, add-on Kickstarter bonus for my sketchbook, One Year After, I’m now doing free, customized 8x10 inked sketch, beginning at the $25 pledge level on up!  So, merely for buying the book, all my backers will receive a sketch with their choice of subject matter.

As most of you know, this is the first time I’ve offered this, anywhere. As of this this writing, we have just surpassed the 50% mark of our $5,000 project goal. The project will close on Feb. 9th at 11:00, Pacific time in the U.S.

 Here’s the link: www.kickstarter.com/projects/2…

One Year After by giadrosich

Help to make this book a reality! Some people may think that $5,000 is a lot of money to produce a book, but this is not for just printing the book, it is also for printing the reward material. And then, the Kickstarter people take a percentage, Amazon takes a percentage (the funding goes through them), the U.S. government takes taxes, and since I’m offering free shipping within the U.S. (including possessions and territories), as you can quickly see, I’ll be doing the layout and production work (not to mention the actual art) “on my own time.” That’s okay. It’s never been my goal to become rich off of this project, just to produce a great book!

There are lots and lots of rewards. Besides the customized sketch, at different pledge levels, you’ll be getting twelve greeting cards (sketches #132-143), as well as this color, limited-edition print, Position of Power:

And then there is Set One, Girls of Modern China:

GoMC: Spring in Shanghai by giadrosich Summer in Changde by giadrosich
GoMC: Autumn in Guangzhou by giadrosich GoMC: Winter in Beijing by giadrosich

Also, Set Two, Girls of Ancient China:

Spring in JhangJiaJie by giadrosich Summer in Yangshao by giadrosich
GoAC: Autumn in Changsha by giadrosich GoAC: Winter in Harbin by giadrosich

I am also offering a very rare, older portfolio of five prints called Elder Wood, which was produced in 2006 which features 5 ink drawings, all in a wrap around folder. At the higher pledge levels, you get all of the above, plus two other books that I wrote, designed, or produced.

Finally, there are some original pieces of art up at the highest levels! So, all in all for $180 a person could walk away with three books, 14 prints, twelve greeting cards, and, a customized 8x10 ink sketch! I don’t think you can find a deal like that, anywhere!

Go by and take a look. Watch the video. Check out the information. Pledge, then spread the word, because the more people who see it, the more likely it will be to get funded. Let folks know here on DA, other social media that you belong to, word-of-mouth, texting…however you connect to your friends and family.

Thanks so much in advance. I’d really like to see this book produced, because the work is already finished, and I think it would be great to get it all into the hands of people who love ink as much as I do!

C’ya.

Bob!
Package received. Excellent physical condition. The personalised "sketch" is perfect! Rest of package up to your high standards, naturally, and a delight to explore... (so many festivals: are they on weekends a lot?...cause 115 days or whatever is a lot of the year!)

In conclusion: Am patting myself on back for being astute enough to be one of your backers... and the envy of others I have shown your work to...

Will continue to spread the word on the streets... keep me posted on your next project. Best Wishes!

Peter.

btw: I hope you are as pleased as you ought to be..and trust that further sales will create funds enough to live in the manner your hard work merits...;)

There are no words strong enough to shout my despair! I just discovered your project on Kickstarter a minute ago and I saw it was finished, done, close, damn me!
Even though it pleases me to see it's funded, I can only cry for not having being a backer myself. I would have love getting your book.
Do you plan to sell it through regular shops as well? By any chance ...

It's good to see it done anyway. Good luck with the printing and everything ;)
